Well, we're finally getting around to posting a wrap up of our Riding for Siding event! Thank you to all who participated and helped, and even got involved in some cases! This was our first fundraiser for the work needed on our siding. Stay tuned for other events in the future.
So how did the "Riding for Siding" day go?
Well, as they say, a picture is worth 1000 words.
So here we go, enjoy!
At Harv's Harley Davidson they moved some bikes around to give us an awesome visibility with our event ticket sales table.
We got to chat with quite a few visitors to the store both that day and at the last two "3rd Thursday Party" events there, where we also were set up at the table.
This is the tickets table with Judy (one of our volunteers that day) holding down the fort.
This is a close up of a model of the Hall we used on the table.
Also, we had "our band" playing "our song" on a laptop during the sales.
Our Riding for Siding raffle case was only part of a wonderful day at HISTORIC VALENTOWN Sunday, June 24th. We were very proud of how nice our display of the raffle items looked in our old antique display case.
Whole case.
Left side close up.
Right side close up.
And here's Frank (far right and one of our board members and hardest working volunteers) with a few of the days event tourists. They are standing in front of portraits of Levi Valentine (left) and Sheldon Fisher (right).
...And please consider donating specifically to our continuing SOS (Save Our Siding) fund?
