Valentown greetings,

Spring is really getting a late start. We even had to cancel our volunteer help for the United Way Day of Caring. We really appreciate what they do for the community and for us, but it is impossible to work in the building when it is in the 40's. We all know it is even colder inside until the foundation has warmed up. Lets hope we do better when the Valentine family comes to work in the Peace Garden in front of the Hall.

This garden was created in memory of their sister Jane and most of the flowers in it are from her garden, transplanted with much care. We will get our knees dirty on Sunday April 22nd. If you are a gardener and would like to help let us know. You are welcome to wallow with the rest of us. Just come over.

This is the time that we not only get ready to open but also focus on membership support for Historic Valentown. Please check out our new membership levels and easy way to join. We have one year renewal or better yet auto renewal if you choose. Of course you can always use our mailing address. We thank you for letting us know that you care about us through your membership support.

If you have some time this season and would like to help on Sundays when we are open, you would be very welcomed. We have lots of fun with visitors. It is a pleasure to see their surprise if they have never visited. And for those who have not in some time, we have rearranged some exhibits to better reflect the original stores and purpose of our building. Don't forget our new Susan B. Anthony exhibit that we unveiled last year. We look forward to a great summer season.
